THE Department of Children and Family Services in LA County have expressed concern about the welfare of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s child — and taken the matter to court.
TMZ reports child welfare officials have raised the issue with L.A. County Dependency Court and asked for a judge to determine if 10-month-old Dream Kardashian is “safe”. Sources close to the ordeal told the outlet the department began its investigation following reports of Chyna’s alleged drug use.
The couple announced their engagement last year in April and pregnancy in May before Chyna gave birth to Dream in November. But things quickly unravelled.
The couple split around March this year and an onslaught of drama and accusations have hit the headlines since.
In July, Kardashian, 30, posted explicit images of Chyna after accusing her of cheating, drug use and exploiting him for money. Chyna then took out a restraining order against the reality star.
Dream is the first child for Kardashian, who is the younger brother of Kim Kardashian. Chyna also has a three-year-old son from a previous relationship.
The couple have been unable to reach a custody agreement over their daughter since the split, and are expected to battle it out in the courtroom later this month at a hearing on September 18, People reports.
